The Sweat Life
As you guys know if you’ve been following me for any length of time, movement is a way of life for me. My background is in long distance running and sports like soccer or field hockey, but my love for getting my burn on also includes powering through an intense set in the weight room, hitting one of my favourite trails, sweating it out in a class (anything booty focused is always a fave!) and so much more. Long story short, I’m drawn to things that really get me moving and over the years, it’s become pretty clear that my fitness style is definitely high-impact. As you guys might know too, I have to navigate life with a pretty unique cup size (a 30F) so as much as I crave that high intensity movement, I can sometimes feel restricted or even sometimes be in a bit of pain if I’m wearing a sports bra that doesn’t move with my body and support properly. Cue in my miracle (yes, seriously, miracle) new sports bra: lululemon‘s Enlite Bra!
I shared a snippet on Insta Story while I was up at the cabin last week and so many of you messaged asking for more details so I’m so excited to share today! lululemon has always been a mainstay of mine for supportive sports bras (hello the Ta-Ta Tamer!) but what I love about the Enlite Bra is that it’s specifically designed for high-impact activity, aka tailor-made for someone like me. I went into the beautiful Burrard & Robson location to try on and the lovely Laura from lululemon took me through an amazing fitting, getting me all fitted to my perfect size (went with the 34E, which fits like a charm and has adjustable clasps in the back too, so handy!).
What makes Enlite so special is that instead of using traditional compression tactics to keep everything in place (the usual go-to for “high-support” bras), Enlite was developed over two years to perfect innovative movement management so that the bra actually works with the body, rather than compressing everything down. I know other chesty chicks will sympathize with the feeling of having restricted breathing when you get other high-support bras – it can honestly impede performance during your sweat session and it also just plain hurts, creating tension and knots in your shoulders and neck. I can’t stress enough how comfy the Enlite is – we happened to be taking off to the cabin so I wore this bra right out the store’s door first thing in the morning, took a 6 hours-long commute to the cabin, hung out with the fam, did a late afternoon sweat running along my favourite route around our cabin and then stretched it out at home after. A total clock-in of about 12 hours in the sports bra and I felt completely unrestricted and free the whole time (though super supported when I needed it!).
The Enlite movement is called #befreetomove and it’s been named that with good reason – I know from the feedback to this post alone how many of you suffer from the same issues with finding pieces that fit chestier types and the literal pain of it all, and I can’t stress enough how liberating it feels to have a piece that I can wear on repeat to get the most out of my intense sweat sessions without having to tend to sore shoulders and torque on my rib cage (some of my usual issues which thankfully this wonder bra totally does away with!). It doesn’t hurt that it’s probably the cutest sports bra I own – I actually gave it a wash while at the cabin and wore it home a few days later just because I was eager to wear it again with a tank layered on top. Love its criss-cross design in the back (both supportive and really brings in a dose of visual interest), the colours are all so on-point (I decided to opt for some colour for once with this stunning deep purple tone, but also some seriously killer neutrals in grey and black) and it does away with that dreaded uniboob effect by creating a natural shape!
With soft, cut-free Ultralu fabric, you’ll be able to wear it on its own in comfort or layer pieces on without weird seaming silhouettes or bunchiness. I wore the Fast & Free Crop leggings here and love the pairing with the sports bra – the high-rise of the leggings helps me feel like I’m not too on display whether I’m out for a run or crushing it in the weight room!
If you’re interested, I’d really suggest you head in-store first and get a feel for your size so that you can easily shop online afterwards – while I have the Enlite in this stunning purple hue now, given how much of a staple it’s already become in the short time I’ve owned it, I know I’ll be picking this up in black and grey as well. Really helped having the hands-on help of lululemon’s always-amazing staff in store to figure out sizing first though – especially when it comes to bras, the fit is so important, particularly when it’s a piece that will be doing such intense supportive work! Also, the experience of shopping in-store always helps me a lot as far as really understanding fit tips plus it’s good to know that lululemon locations are always so well-stocked – if you want to double-check a few sizes though, you can look it up online here!
I’ve had so many convos with so many of you ever since sharing more about my struggle with working around my cup size and I know a lot of you are sporty as well, so I’m really, really excited for you to discover this on your own. The only pain that should be associated with your sweat sessions is in breaking that wall to your next fitness goal or personal best, not the ache of your bra straps or band digging into you and causing serious muscle aches! I can’t stress enough how much this product has already changed the game for me.
If you guys have any other questions about fit or feel, let me know in the comments below! But do get in for a fitting at your nearest lululemon location when you can – can’t wait to hear your own experience with the Enlite bra!

So glad I found your review. I saw this bra on loads of other bloggers lately but many of them don’t have a full chest to deal with so their reviews are not overly helpful. I was wondering how this bra would be for those of us that actually need loads of support and now I am thinking of giving it a go. I do have the older style Ta ta tamer and it was pretty good so if this one is even better well then – totally worth a try.
Aw thanks lady! I think I said it above already but seriously, it’s a game changer for me. I suffer a lot from ribs kind of popping around and pain in that area from my workouts in the past and this just does such a good job of keeping everything in place but being COMFY, which is something I don’t often get to experience in that area! I’d really suggest just going in-store first and trying out a few different sizes – one fit tip would be to make sure it’s quite snug when you get it because the fabric will loosen a touch to your body and the adjustable clasps help a lot in perfecting the size! Let me know if you give it a go 🙂
Both the bra and leggings look like a perfect fit on you. Lululemon has always been a bit out of my price range but I’m thinking now maybe it’s worth investing!

This comes in around $80 I believe which I know isn’t cheap but I remember getting my Ta Ta Tamer (which was slightly higher price-wise I think) maybe 7 years ago and still wear it all the time today! So for me at least the cost-per-wear has been more than worth it – let me know if you give it a go babe I definitely think you’ll love it and that it will serve you well! 🙂
Such a beautiful location!
