Pants Party
SHOP THE LOOK
This time of year is amazing but it’s hectic. From holiday shopping to wrapping up work to holiday party after holiday party, it feels like you kind of need to go into auto drive sometimes. I find that this is especially the case for me when it comes to my style – I always look back in the new year at holiday party snaps and find that all my outfits start to take on the same sort of formula (I’m all for style uniforms but for special occasions, you’ve got to mix it up!). That’s why this year, Alicia and I teamed up with our good friends Denise Elliott for beauty and Christie Graham behind the lens to share pants-only looks – from jumpsuits to culottes, today’s post and next week’s will show you exactly how you can eschew your typical skirts/dresses in favour of something different this year! Both of these looks are strong, feminine & definitely special enough for a classy occasion, but we both agreed that they carry another element holiday style can sometimes be lacking…they’re strong.
This Evernew jumpsuit was something that initially intimated me on the hanger but once I put it on, I instantly fell in love. It nips in at all the right places, the cut-out detail above the waist gives just a hint of skin, the lace pants provide a touch of sexiness and I can’t get over the neckline, which is probably my favourite part of the whole thing. With such a standout piece like this, all you really need are some simple heels, a basic updo (I literally tossed my hair into a low knot – see my tutorial here!) and added a touch of sparkle with these Olive + Piper earrings. Whether it’s NYE or a work party, this is an insanely comfortable and unique way to bring some major style to this year’s festivities!
I also have to give major props to Denise for giving me my favourite beauty look ever. A defined and strong cat eye with a really beautiful red lip, and of course, she always manages to make my skin look even and enhanced without losing the things I love (freckles etc). Such a talent!
I love the Parisian take my girl Alicia took too – can we please talk about the perfect red lip Denise did on her? These wide-leg pants add the perfect amount of drama and I love the restrained chic of a striped top paired with it. Some bling around the neck and she’s also ready for anything the holidays throw at her (plus she has the most annoyingly perfect hair so that also looks amazing, but I don’t like talking about it because she always gives me fine hair complex).
A massive thank you to Christie Graham for your impeccable eye and talent and again, to Denise for giving us both a beauty look that enhanced rather than masked – Denise is the master of this. If you have a wedding, photo shoot, or any other occasion you want to feel your best for, book them!
Stay tuned next week for our second look and be sure to stop by Alicia’s blog today to see more snaps!
I love that lace jumpsuit, love it's neckline, and the cut! It's great for parties, a bit sexy, but with a class, nothing vulgar.

As a new twist on an old cocktail, skewer a piece of cooked shrimp and instead of serving it with a bowl of cocktail sauce serve the shrimp in a shot glass already filled with the sauce. It will really help you in refreshing your holiday party presentation.
Wow, this one style is very interesting. I also found for you this article http://www.collective-evolution.com/2016/01/05/10-foods-to-detoxify-body-after-holidays/ This will much help you with planing your food ration at day
