The New Age
SHOP THE LOOK
Happy Friday!!! I am so looking forward to a weekend spent doing quite literally next to nothing – Matt and I both hit the ground running since being home from Greece last week and we’re both definitely feeling ready for some major couch potato time this weekend. In years past, we would’ve rallied and gone out for Halloween, but we’re 28 now, i.e. really getting on in our years. So now, it’s all about the “new” Halloween era! Click through for my top 5 Halloween party alternatives after the jump!
1. The obvious, of course, is to drink wine and hand out candy to kids. If you’re in a
complex like us though, you move on to number 2…
2. Drink wine and watch scary movies! And eat all the Halloween candy you bought
“for the kids”!
3. If you’re not trying to kill yourself with candy (i.e. straight sugar), get baking and
have a cozy night in with some Halloween-themed treats (still sugar but less of the 100% variety).
4. If you don’t want to spend your whole night inside, get out and do a haunted house
tour (though why you would want to do this is beyond me).
5. And finally, just skip it altogether! Go out for a movie, go try a new restaurant etc.
What are you all doing this weekend? Dressing up or skipping the Halloween celebrations this year? Quite frankly, my creativity just doesn’t extend to Halloween costumes which is why I’ve kind of always hated the holiday, but I do seriously admire people who pull off amazing costumes so tell me if you have anything planned in the comments below! See you Monday hopefully more well-rested and likely 5 pounds heavier from all the candy I’ll be consuming!

Loving the outfit, as always. Red looks awesome with the grey jeans!
As for Halloween, I typically like to avoid it, but somehow end up celebrating every year. This year involves hitting up the wineries with some girlfriends, so I'm pretty stoked.

Something About That
Oh that actually sounds awesome!!! Have so much fun, Jackie!
What a great print on the scarf! I have to work and then I am heading to a party. I am sure it will be a fun night. I have a costume for work and one for the evening. ♡♡
