But First, Coffee

After a bit of an unintentionally long hiatus (my seriously amazing long weekend lulled me into a bit of a rest period!), I’m back today with your first behind-the-scenes look at an incredible shoot I collaborated with the very talented Britney Gill Photography and Katie Elwood Makeup + Hair on, which happens to be live on Glitter Guide…today! This might sound a bit exaggerated/over-the-top but truly, my days wouldn’t start without coffee. It’s such an integral part of my daily ritual at home, and even more so when I’m out for meetings or a catch-up with friends. It plays such a focal point in my life (caffeine addiction be damned, I love it!) and since one of the things I get asked most about via email is what to see and do in Vancouver, I thought I’d share my three favourite places to get caffeinated here in my lovely Fairview neighbourhood. Click through to see all the behind-the-scenes snaps from our first cafe!

First stop was the lovely Caffè Cittadella, where the coffee is always amazing and the staff is beyond friendly (shout out to the sweet guy who always remembers my need for almond milk!). The cafe is in a heritage building that the owner rescued from demolition, which adds an even sweeter element to the cafe’s already beautiful story, setting and offerings.
Being a style blogger, I of course have to dress the part for each cafe. Cittadella is distinctly “Fairview,” which any local resident would know is actually a thing. Laid-back, nature-infused but still stylish with fashionable South Granville bordering the hood, it’s a very West Coast vibe that I feel right at home in.
I can’t wait to share more snaps over this week from our other two locales – all three of these places are very dear to my heart (they do feed my caffeine addiction, after all!) and I can’t wait to share my slice of Vancouver with you! For now, stop by Glitter Guide to see the full feature!
Caffe Citadella is one of my favourite coffee shops, Alex! Excited to see what your other two picks are… I'm thinking maybe Elysian and Aperture? Hehe.

So pretty! Absolutely adore little cafés like this. Such a peaceful place to work and clear the mind 🙂
