SHOP THE LOOK
Is it too early to start plotting what I’m wearing to brunch on Sunday? I hope not because that’s definitely 100% what this post is about. This has been an incredibly busy week (but in the best way possible, so excited for some projects ahead and for Alicia and I kicking off #2015STRONG this week!) and all this fun craziness will be carrying on into the weekend, so come Sunday when I finally get a chance to do nada, I fully plan on just heading to our go-to joint Cafe Zen and taking a leisurely hour to eat my favourite baked eggs and have a coffee (or 2…or 3) then do all my usual Sunday musts (market run, play guitar, etc). Click through to hear about an exciting tidbit all my Vancouver readers need to know about this Saturday and my weekend-cool style tips!

Okay so first of all, if you’re in the Vancouver area, make sure you come along with me to the beautiful spin studio Eastwood Cycle this Saturday morning (either the 9:15 or 10:45 classes) because Joe Fresh has something super fun planned and I’m so excited to be a part of it! Can’t give away too many details but just be sure to get your little tuckus out of bed Saturday and get your weekend off to a great start!
And now onto the important to-do’s for post-workout: eating and looking good while doing it. Really, is there any better feeling in the world than already having your workout checked off for the day and then having a leisurely brunch? I think not. Because I’ve been on the run so much lately and really committed to my #2015STRONG goals, I’ve found myself in sneakers more often than not on bottom and trying to inject some style in a cozy yet cool way on top. Cue in the perennially cool utility jacket: you can literally throw this baby over anything and much like a leather moto jacket (my other post-workout must for its unparalleled cool factor), it will elevate any look, even if you’re just in tights or baggy boyfriend jeans.
This Gentle Fawn number hasn’t been put down much since I’ve gotten it and I’ve gotta say, I am a particular fan of it with something unexpected like this basic yet femme stretchy pencil skirt and striped top combo. Inject a little print-on-print playfulness with this Joe Fresh beanie and the look’s complete! My favourite thing about this look is that after a quick rinse post-workout, it really is just about as comfortable and low-key as my workout gear! I don’t know if this month’s outfit posts have been any indication but comfort has really and truly been my absolute priority style-wise and quite frankly, it doesn’t look like that focus is changing any time soon.
Happy almost-weekend friends! And again, two things before I go: 1) again Vancouver peeps, make sure you head to Eastwood this Saturday (nag alert, I got it from my momma), and 2) if you’re just checking out the blog for the first time today, please take a look at #2015STRONG which my girlfriend Alicia and I just launched this week to join us on a collective fitness and wellness journey!
