The holidays are without a doubt my favourite time of year, but this year in particular has felt so harried and unprepared. I’ve hardly gotten through half of my Christmas shopping let alone baking, cards, etc, so needless to say, style-wise I’ve been going for completely casual, cozy and no-brainer style combos. I’m really heavily relying on my outerwear to elevate my looks day-to-day since the actual core of my look hasn’t deviated from a basic skinny-jeans-and-sweater combo. Keeping the rest of my look simple is also the only way I can feel comfortable wearing something standout like a fuzzy jacket like this one from Obakki.

Here’s hoping I start to feel a bit more style-inspired in time for New Year’s Eve – we’re hosting a NYE party for the first time and I’m so excited to ring it in with friends and hopefully a really beautiful festive look!

Until then, I’m not only in full crunch mode pre-Christmas, but I’m also taking some time to really get all set up for 2015.
