If you read yesterday’s post, you’ll know I’ve got an exciting big trip on the horizon – I’m unbelievably excited and am already in the thick of planning it. I’m expecting to fall in love with cities and countries I’ve never been to but before that happens, I went to one place in the world that I already know and love so well – my cabin! Summer nights at the cabin are all about board game playing, singing, beer drinking and even the occasional nighttime swimming. Click through to read the full post!

A loose knit (like this one from Left on Houston) over the day’s bikini is all that’s needed during these long late summer nights – of course, my go-to shorts, sandals & sunnies made yet another reappearance (remember this cabin style post?). I’m definitely taking them along for the Euro trip, but am already starting to panic about suitcase space. Any tips on amazing luggage? Thinking I need to upgrade my suitcase before I jet off!
And on that note, any Europe tips would be amazing! I’ve lived in Bordeaux but am needing some tips on just about everything else – itinerary so far is England-Ireland-Scotland-Italy-Greece-Paris (hoping to make Paris Fashion Week in time!)-Germany…then the last bit’s open! Would love any advice you have about what to do, where to stay, what to eat and who to meet in the comments below (or feel free to shoot me an email, would love to hear from you!).

    Such lovely photo series!
And as a trip to Europe, take yourself a guide book and circle or sticky note all the places you visited in that book.
It's so fun to reflect on it after the trip!

    Keep up the great work.

Depending on where you're going, I LOVED Provence (stayed in Gordes, which is stunning), also loved the Verdon, which is a beautiful natural park-type area (stayed in St Laurent du Verdon in a 17th century olive mill that served the most delicious home-style French food). I also loved Cinque Terre (I'd go toward the end of your trip as it gets really busy) – we stayed at Casa Lorenza in Riomaggiore and it was perfection. We had a trip blog on our last trip (more detail) – you can check it out – http://planestrainsautomobilesandaferry.blogspot.ca/ – but those places were the true highlights and I would completely recommend them. So jealous!

I have a friend that goes back to Greece every summer to visit family and he always talks about what an amazing time he has there, especially because of how good the food is! Their portions are HUGE and since most dishes also overload on fresh veggies and feta cheese, its really healthy as well! I think Greece would be a great place to go before France, you'd be all cleansed and glowing!

However you end up planning the trip, hope you have an amazing time 🙂
