If there’s one thing I love about where I live in Vancouver, it’s that we’re able to just stroll down to the Sea Wall and after 10 minutes or so walking, find ourselves in any number of the city’s most amazing spots. We usually opt for Granville Island or head down to the beach, but sometimes I love walking toward the east (in these amazingly comfortable Sole Society sandals and Boutique Onze dress, natch) to have dinner at Olympic Village and watch the boats go by in front of Science World. With more prolonged travel plans in the near future and busy times up until then, I’m really trying to take advantage of this incredible summer in the city. As much as I’ve always dreamt of living and working elsewhere again, Vancouver’s definitely home and if there’s ever a time to soak in the city, it’s in the summer when you can really explore the beaches, Sea Wall and mountains.
Speaking of which, this weekend is all about doing exactly that – so excited for lots of beach time, heading to the market and running the trails. I’ve also been getting back into swimming at Kits Pool, a true Vancouver classic (I swam competitively for years and it’s so awesome getting back to the lanes!).
