When Pantone names its colour of the year, its presence usually makes itself known pretty quickly. Remember the emerald green craze of 2013? For whatever reason though, I feel like I didn’t see Radiant Orchid (which was bestowed the coveted colour of the year title this year) pop up as much as I ordinarily see its predecessors, which is odd given what a beautiful and accessible tone it is. Myself and my lovely friends Jen, Alicia and Erin decided to show just how easy it is to wear by partnering up with The Everygirl to show how this stunning hue can work for any skin tone (we’re walking examples!), all captured by the talented Taya Photography. Alicia, Jen and I represent a pretty big mix – from Alicia’s beautiful olive-toned complexion to Jen’s golden skin to my rose-toned complexion (well…was rose-toned and pale when these snaps were taken…I have issues with staying out of the sun during the summer!), we each represent very different undertones. Leave it to our fellow blogger friend Erin of The Sparkle (who also happens to be the beauty editor over at Glitter Guide) to create a custom look for each of us, all using varying shades of vivid Radiant Orchid.
To read the breakdown for each skin tone, visit The Everygirl and read today’s post! A big thank you to the lovely team for featuring us and to Taya for capturing our makeup adventures so beautifully.
