Good Love
Obakki Foundation scarf, H&M coat, Old Navy jeans, J.Crew heels,
bag c/o Phillip Lim for Target, earrings & ring c/o Brooklyn Designs
As some of you may know, I work for Obakki and Obakki Foundation. Obakki Foundation‘s the philanthropic counterpart to Obakki, a Vancouver-based clothing line that personally serves as the source of a lot of sartorial inspiration (and wardrobe envy) on a daily basis. I mean, imagine being surrounded by covet-worthy clothes all the time – it’s pretty incredible. While the brand’s amazing, the humanitarian work that Obakki Foundation does is truly special. The charity has provided over 400 water wells to South Sudan in the last three years alone, giving a life-saving necessity to thousands of people in need.
The Signature Red Scarf is a perfect example of how the Obakki Foundation brings philanthropy to people in a real and tangible way. For every 500 scarves sold, the foundation is able to provide a whole village with clean water. It’s so cool to be able to buy a piece you’d want in your closet anyway (I mean, what’s more of a staple than a modal scarf during the fall?) that also drives 100% of net proceeds toward such a great cause!
Want to see more pics of the scarf? Stop by StreetScout.me to see more pics from this shoot! Also, if you’re interested in the scarf, stop by Obakki Foundation’s Facebook page to vote for the next scarf colour (pssst…so far, oxblood is in the lead!).
After seeing Obakki featured on here, I fell in love with the line and their entire philosophy and did a post over on my blog! That scarf is lovely and for such an incredible cause!!!
