After a thoroughly amazing goodbye to summer this past long weekend, I’m finally ready to welcome fall with open arms. While I would much rather have summer, well…all the time, Matt and I made a really stacked fall bucket list recently to help ease our transition into autumn and it’s getting me pretty excited for the coming season.
In no particular order, here’s just a small sampling:
1. Pick out pumpkins from a local pumpkin patch for Halloween
2. Bundle up and bike out to our favourite sunset point to watch sunset
3. Lord of the Rings marathon on a particularly rainy day
4. Host a Pie Night at our place around Thanksgivings
And sooo much more! Finally accepting and getting excited for colder weather has helped me finally stop denial-dressing (as I like to call it), i.e. me freezing my butt off in denim cutoffs and blouses when it’s far too cold for it. I finally felt good and ready to wear this beautiful sweater dress from Left on Houston that I’ve quite literally been saving for a rainy (or at least cool) day to wear. With bare legs and these new Massimo Dutti booties that I can already tell I’m going to wear to pieces, the whole look is still light enough for the hot-and-cold, personality-disorder-style weather we’ve been having lately!
