Here’s a hard fact to start your Thursday off with: the best things are always found in H&M’s men section. From chunky knits in the winter to perfect striped tees or accessories for the summer, I’m fairly certain I actually shop in the men’s section more often than I do the women’s.
I’m such a classicist when it comes to sunnies usually but somehow fell in love with this printed pair in the men’s area while conveniently picking things up for Matt’s birthday present (funny how that always happens) – I love how the subtle print and colour palette of these sunnies jazzes up my oft-mentioned uniform of cutoffs with whatever shirt happens to be lying around, and also served as a great inspiration reference formy dainty little arm party. We celebrated Matt’s birthday last night with a little patio party (check out this sunset snap – so pretty!), complete with beer, burgers, friends and fireworks. It was really nice! It’s definitely beginning to feel like late summer these days so the more patio time we can squeeze in, the better.
Speaking of which, I’m getting so excited for this weekend! Other than a little bit of rain on Saturday, we should be getting heaps of sun and I can’t wait to just swim in the ocean, soak up some sun and relax (and hopefully sleep more). My fellow Canucks, any big long weekend plans?

I love that you shop in the mens section!! I never thought to look there but I guess whenever I go I'm on a mission for a specific thing for a guy and totally forget to look for myself. I can't wait for the long weekend either! its going to be packed but fun! i got everything from a wedding to pride and then family dinner!
