My third and final guest blogger this week is the ever-so-lovely Gabrielle of Dentelle et Fleurs. A former Québécoise myself (French was actually my first language!), I instantly fell for Gabrielle’s chic style, engaging bilingual text and her sweet personality. We’ve missed each other narrowly in the past (Osheaga last year, so close!) and have never actually met, but she’s one of those people you feel like you instantly know. Please give her a warm welcome and visit her stunning blog! I’ll be back tomorrow with a little trip recap :).
Oh and PS quick translation…barbe-à-papa means cotton candy! You’ll get why that’s pertinent after the jump!

Pastel is still one of my fave summer trend and I feel like everyone should give it a try. It brightens up the face and adds a little fun on a rainy day. Oh, but yes, I hear you, it is not something easy to wear, so here are a few of my tips to sport those colors without looking like a barbe-à-papa :
1.  Try different hues of the same color! Lilac+Purple+light violet. It works.
Do not wear lilac from head to toe. Don’t.
2.  Try to match different pastel colors at the same time.
Pastel shoes+bag+pants= a fun pastel palette.
3.  Transform your look into a corporate one by adding a black blazer or coat.
It will break the girlyness of the outfit and add a little edge to it.
4.  Pastel and white work well together. Use that combination in a case of « I
don’t know how to style those mint pants, dammit ».
No, try the trend and see if you like it (but you will, yep you will). Don’t be shy to share your pastel outfits with me (@dentellefleurs), I’m always in a search for new inspiration.

Absolutely impressed by its perfection. I was really impressed by the fine creativity and artistry. I am really looking forward to the coming occasion when I am going to wear it.
