Northern Style Exposure

January 24, 2013

Vintage parka (my mum’s from the ’70s), cape c/o Loft 82, jeans c/o Fidelity Denim
H&M sweater & booties, bag c/o Roots, bracelet c/o Banana Republic, sunnies c/o SmartBuyGlasses
I’m guest blogging over at the lovely and always-stylish Kira of Northern Style Exposure‘s site today, which could not be more perfect because I inadvertently created an outfit for the guest post that really is “northern style.” A touch of fur, a bunch of layers and a made-in-Canada goose down parka from the ’70s (thanks Mum!)…it really is a very “Great White North” kind of outfit.

Anyway, please hop on over to Kira’s site to see my post and also keep checking in over the next 10 days or so as she has a ton of amazing Canadian bloggers lined up to play house while she’s on vacay! A few of my favourites, actually. Have a happy Thursday!

What a great outfit! Love the stripes, and how you're stylish but still cozy. Best of both worlds. 🙂

Omigosh, that parka looks so cozy. I can't believe it's from the 70s, it looks just like those Canada Goose and Moncler parkas that are "all the rage" these days.

Aw, this is so Northern style, pally – I can't remember the last time I wore a parka because I tend to think of them as sort of anti-fashion but yours looks so stylish, especially with the fur hood. I know this is totally late but it was so good to chat with you last week, looking forward to virtually seeing you again at the blogger gathering this weekend 🙂

It is somewhat plain by its self, so I plan to glam it by adding crystals to the bodice, but it could work without any further additions if you accessorize well.
