SUUUUUN! I thought I’d never see you again! Obviously, to say that I was excited to see my old friend sunshine would be a huge understatement. What’s more, I had a day of sister fun already planned yesterday, so the sun just made it that much better. Got my nails did, watched the sunset and sipped rooibos. All in all, an amazing day. And while still cold, for a moment it was just warm enough to get away with my thick sweater for about…10 minutes.
No matter how much I try to work more femme looks back into my repertoire, this fall and winter has been all about tomboy looks. It’s just what I’m feeling lately, which is weird because for years upon years I was almost exclusively a skirt/dress girl. Weird how you go through shifts like that…I can’t pinpoint what would have precipitated this complete 180 but I’m going to just embrace it while it lasts! Have you ever had a complete style switch-up?
PS thanks so much for your feedback on my hair Q yesterday! I’ve made up my mind…and I’m doing it. I need maybe a few weeks to steel myself for the big chop but I’m pretty set on it now!

SO excited for your hair chop. I recently went that length that too and love it. My hair is so much easier to style, straighten – it's been great! Oh man, and a major yay for that sunshine. My style has definitely taken a tomboy twist over the past few years. I think there comes a point where practicality and longevity overrule fun and fleeting disposable fashion. I still love a good dress-up but my everyday is so much more rooted in great basics that both look good and function. And cut it! You wont regret it! Its the only cure for hair melancholy I swear…
