Yesterday was a full-on snow day and it was pretty much the best thing ever. Fun times with family, cuddles with my doggy, shortbread, Christmas movies, running around in the snow, naps and tea. Oh, and a pom martini to top it all off. I’m not a winter girl but that first big day of snow is always amazing.
These pics were snapped when we first started getting some slush a few days ago and I wanted some practicality and comfort – when it snows in Vancouver, it effectively covers the whole city in a thick blanket of this hybrid mud-snow-ice-rain mixture. In other words, it gets completely mucky. With my striped dress and fitted leather jacket though, I hopefully kept the look from being altogether schlumpy.

Vancouver is NUTS when it snows, everything shuts down! My friend was flying home yesterday and instead of it taking her an hour and a half it took her 10hours…So crazy
