All my life, I’ve always swung between being an extreme tomboy or being a complete girly-girl. I was applying mascara and Lip Smackers lip gloss under my desk in Grade 3, then in Grade 4 I went through this weird phase when I dressed like a particularly schlumpy version of Vanilla Ice. It’s really only been in the past two years that I’ve found a happy medium between the two – I’ve accepted that while I’ll never be one of those girls who will be perfectly coiffed, manicured and done-up, I’ll also always have a soft spot for femme details and silhouettes too. Knowing my happy balance also helps me feel more like myself no matter what I’m wearing, even while channeling a more extreme version of either style.
This look, of course, is tomboy-heavy. Very ’70s, very menswear-inspired. Touches of always-lovely and elegant jewelry from KV BIJOU, including this stunning rose quartz Pink Lemonade piece, help femme the look up and keep it from toeing full-on manly territory.

Absolutely LOVE this look. I have always been so conflicted with my laid-back style and a love for everything girly. My fall wardrobe hunt has been a tweed/menswear style blazer, with elbow patches of course. I haven't been successful as of yet but I'm hopeful!
