When my darling fashionista blogger friend Alexandra asked me to post while she laid on the beach, sipping margs in Hawaii, my first thought was uh… I’m jealous! But my second thought was obviously, Uh… YES! I adore To Vogue or Bust as much as the average girl— actually more. So first, I have to thank the lovely Alex for allowing me to blab to you guys 🙂
Now let’s talk color, people. If you’ve ever read my blog, Devon Rachel, you’d know I’m no stranger to the colored, well, anything. I recently found this amazingly comfy pair of relaxed, boyfriend fit orange pants at the Gap. Normally, I’d go for a fun fancy top to complete this little ensemble. But I’ve been exploring the idea of a fancier (or in this case, colorful) bottom half paired with a more relaxed, casual top. Simply add a fun necklace to your casual top, a fun heel to your foot and you’re ready to hit the streets (in a lady like way, of course). Dare to wear color, my friends! Using my casual pairing idea, you’ll make for a much less “loud” look, sure to wow the crowds.
Xo, Devon

I love the color of those jeans. They remind me of orange sherbet.

I love Devon, she has a wonderful blog. I'm happy I found yours!
When I saw Alexandra's list of guest bloggers, I was most excited to see your post Devon! This outfit is the perfect example of casual yet perfect. The muted gray top with the soft orange pants is a great pairing.

Love this! I've been doing the same thing lately. Too many seasons with boring bottoms and fancy tops. Time to switch things up!

What a pretty pair of pants! I would ever naturally gravitate towards a colour like this, but it looks just beautiful on you. And I love your necklace, too 🙂

Great outfit, and I love this idea too! I've recently expanded my collection of simple tops and tees just for this purpose – to pair with bright/bold bottoms and accessories 🙂
