I didn’t realize it until after the fact, but this outfit is really quite 80’s-esque. For some reason, since it came out, I always associate the 80’s with the movie Drive (I think it comes down to Gosling’s amazing scorpion jacket and the equally incredible Euro music, such as Desire’s “Under Your Spell”) so I guess this is my homage to what was probably my favourite movie last year.
Emaan took these pics for me while we were at Pender Island too. She’s in Coachella now…jerk. I honestly just have to close my eyes and plug my ears during this time of the year…it breaks my heart too much to hear about it all.

Drive felt so 80s! When we watched it, the boy said it reminded him of Michael Mann films while my mind kept flashing back Risky Business.

I love everything in this! I hadn't been to H&M in over 8months (due to living in the middle of nowhere)…so when I was in Arizona I almost went crazy and bought everything you're wearing and then some…somehow I restrained though, so I only ended up with 2 things (that blazer in pink was one of them)…why did I have to be so practical? haha

That blazer is fantastic. Also, I'm rather impressed that you liked Drive. I just couldn't get into it, but I love this outfit. That floral skirt may be one of my favourite pieces of yours.

Oh my god I absolutely LOVED Drive!!! I couldn't stop recommending it to everyone I knew and I thought Ryan Gosling's performance was one of the best of the year!! Oh god and the soundtrack was SO DAMN GOOD. But anyway, I love the streaks of bright almost neon colours. It really makes the outfit feel vibrant, especially with the blazer. The aviators give it touch of bad ass and the whole look, while reminiscent of the 80's, is more like a nod or an ode. That is a good thing!
