Luck of the Irish

Word from the wise: even if it seems like a fun idea at the time, do not cover your arms with festive Saint Patrick’s Day “temporary” tattoos unless you want to look like a weird, leprechaun-obsessed freak for a good week or so after.
I was a Guinness or two in Saturday night and got really excited when I found my friend’s sheet of tattoos. Five minutes and six tattoos later, I was covered in shamrocks and “Luck of the Irish” markings all over my arms. The next morning, I rubbed my skin raw with a loofah for about ten minutes and yet my little pots of gold at the end of the rainbow et al would not budge. Soooo looks like I’m celebrating SPD for the rest of the week! Just consider them my fun new accessories.
I’m absolutely in love with this royal blue silk blouse that I scored from my lovely friend Cee at our blogger sale! I’ve had my eye on it for so long and after a day full of selling, I finally got to do some much-needed buying!
Just wanted to give a big thank you to everyone who came out Saturday! I had such an amazing time and know all the other girls did too, can’t wait till we can plan another one. Again, thanks especially to Alicia and Cee for being such incredible organizers! I’ll be posting a recap of the event this Friday.
Hope you’re all having a wonderful Monday. xx
love the shoulder details on your top! such a pretty blue!

Love this color combo! And the blouse is beautiful. And for the record, I totally would have covered my arms in tattoo's if I had the chance! ; )
Love the blouse. And the tattoos of course. Hopefully they're a reminder of a fun night.

Your warning about St. Patrick's Day "temporary" tattoos is duly noted! At least your accessories match them though.

Haha, good advice about the tattoos. Sounds like a fun celebration. Your colour palette is so gorgeous, you're right about the blouse, easy to fall in love with. The splashes of green accessories look great, you've kept it classy as always!
Royal blue is one of your colours, looks absolutely stunning on You. And with touch of green is amazing combo. How wonderful that you had a chance to get this blouse. I wish I could be there with you all wonderful ladies.
p.s. shamrock tattoo looks charming and matching with all green accessories.

HAHA, well the tattoos are kind of bad-ass, no? Love this colour combo, Alex… the bright blue is stunning.

The blue and green are perfect together and the top is so romantic looking with the cutout shoulder. Also I think the St. Pattys tattoos make the outfit hahaa :)- Pam

This blouse looks AMAZING on you, especially with the green accessories and beige skirt. Perfect colour combinations. And I'm laughing so hard about the temporary tattoos, been there, done that. You just look so excited about the Irish

This blouse is so perfect on you, pally, I think it was really meant to be yours all along 🙂 I definitely never would have thought to pair it with orange and turquoise, but somehow all of these colours are just the perfect match! (Not sure about the temporary tattoos, but it is pretty funny, mainly because I'm not the one who did it!) Just watched the video you made of the sale and I just have to say thank-you, thank-you, thank-you. Apart from the awkward part with me talking, it's fabulous 😉
xox,
Cee
Oh, your tattoos are cute! Totally didn't know they were that difficult to remove. At least they match your outfit, right? Which is gorgeous, by the way. The colours are so vibrant and I can't stop lusting after your $20 shoes. Glad you had such a successful blogger sale, I hope to make it out to the next one!

The belt and the top is perfect together!
You look beautiful. I let the girl at Victoria Secret put a "temporary" tattoo on my hand on Saturday and I had to scratch it off. It was not pretty.
I looooove this look! The colors all look fantastic together and I love the shape of that
You look gorgeous, I love that top on you!
Beautiful top — I love something that shows some shoulder!
very lovely <3
hahhaha omg Alexandra, your St Patrick's day story has me literally laughing out loud. Poor thing! On the plus side, it shows a more human side of you that your perenially gorgeous photos don't 🙂
With this outfit and the pretty sunshine on the pictures you almost make it seem like Spring has finally arrived in Vancouver… I wish! That blue top is such a great buy, it looks like it was made for you (and your "tattoos" ;-)). The Club Monaco skirt and vintage belt are great too, I'm a fan of the color combination – once again!
It was awesome to see you this past weekend! xo Leonie

You and Miss Melissa made me desperately wish I was a Van Blogger this weekend! I would have loved to have been there.
Oh, the things that sound like a great idea after a couple of Guinnesses (Guinnessi?. Those were some high quality temporary tattoos, and I loved the pictures really displaying them. That kind of self-deprecation is rare in fashion blogs, and I think I love you even more now!
Katie- Hems For Her
HAHAHA I love the tattooes! 🙂 When I went to New Orleans back in October my friend and I put on temp tattooes for the Saints game (their American football team) in the bar bathroom. I had a temp tattoo on my arm for WEEKS bc the sucker wouldn't come off. I love this whole look. Esp the color of your top paired with a light neutral shade.
