What a difference a weekend away makes! I was still feeling a tiny bit run down after being sick last weekend so I made an impromptu trip to my family cabin on the Sunshine Coast to recoup. I definitely had an amazing time, but more than anyone, my sweet pup had the best time (check out this pic for proof). It made me so happy to see Bailey feeling so energetic…I think the ocean air helps. He’s getting quite old and it literally breaks my heart that his age is starting to really slow him down a lot. I mean, he’s my baby…he’s been such an important part of my life for 12 years now, and I can’t even imagine not having him. It made my entire weekend to see he’s still got a bit of crazy, bouncy puppy in him!
One thing I’ve really been into lately are makeup tutorials. I’ve been watching a lot of Lisa Eldridge’s videos and feel like I’m finally learning something about makeup! She makes it so easy to follow along, and can we talk about how beautiful she is?? Yeesh. Anyway, I tried to recreate the soft, smoky eye she did on Clémence Poésy in this post. I adapted it a bit to my own colouring, but I think all in all, I did a semi-okay job. All I have ever known how to do (or felt inclined to wear) is a cat eye, so the fact that I’m learning any new makeup looks is a small miracle!
Here’s part two of my little Butter London delivery from Nail Polish Canada: Trout Pout (gotta love the names)! I added my Chanel Graphite polish on the ring finger since I’m trying to slightly winterize the coral pink of Trout Pout (the forecast calls for snow this week after all…..ugh). I can’t wait to be in Maui in just over a month and to finally have the tan skin that will really make this polish stand out!
