Flowers for the Sick

March 5, 2012

H&M pants, tank & ring, Michael Kors heels, Twenty8Twelve jacket,
Rebecca Minnkoff bag, necklace c/o Keltie Leanne Designs,
Butter London nail polish c/o Nail Polish Canada
Unfortunately for those closest to me, I’ve never been one to stoically suffer through an illness, especially one that limits my food intake (take away my food and things get freakay…like really ugly). So if you follow me on Twitter, you probably already heard me complaining heaps about the flu that struck me down on Friday. If I look a little worse for wear in these pics, it’s cause I was. Though I am proud of myself for dragging my sick bottom to H&M to make sure I snapped up a pair of these floral pants for $14.99 before they were all gone! They’re my very own get-better-soon bouquet, all for the price of an overpriced latte and muffin. Or an actual bouquet.

Not only does the price entirely justify the purchase of these pants, but the fact that they magically match the new Butter London shade Nail Polish Canada sent me! It’s destiny (another of the many rationalizations I use to justify my shopping problem). I love the bright turquoise shade of Slapper, and am especially tickled by its coquettish name (coquettish being an extremely PG way of describing it). Just Google “slapper Irish” and you’ll get it. My Irish friends have taught me well.
P.S. if you love Butter London as much as I do, Nail Polish Canada is currently hosting a giveaway for Butter London’s entire Spring 2012 collection, which is worth $85!
Hope you’re all having a wonderful Monday!

I love how vivid and lively your pants and cobalt blue tank are when paired together; and for $14.99? What a steal! Sometimes I do the same in wearing certain clothes to cheer myself on those downer days so I feel ya. I'm very excited to see an explosion of prints in the coming months leading all the way into fall.

    Get better soon!

I give you major props for busting out the heels when you aren't feeling well. Shopping when sick always makes me feel at least a little bit better. Killer pants!

Floral pants! So not my thing, and yet, seeing them on you makes me feel like they could be 🙂 Seriously, pally, you look fabulous and amazing, especially considering that you were sick with the flu when there photos were taken. Hope you're feeling much better now – and that your manicure, in that lovely shade of Tiffany blue, has made it through the day, unlike mine, which is in tatters. At least Monday only happens once a week!

Love love LOVE those pants. They look absolutely amazing on you. I unfortunately dragged my lazy butt to H&M too late and they were all gone, there was a skirt version though which was pretty cute.

Hope you're feeling better now! It's the absolute worst when you can't taste anything 🙁

  • Reply Lynn {hearted girl} March 7, 2012 at 2:15 am

awe lovie, i would bring you some fleurs…the kind that would be scentless so they didn't tickle your nose and then i'd boil you up a nice pot of tea, adding in a sploosh of some Grand Marnier for good measure!!!! you are one heck of a strong gal for hauling yourself up outta bed and venturing out. not only for those awesome pants (they're remarkable for the price, nice one!) but also to shoot your outfit featuring them. i'd have caved and imploded in my sicky miz for sure. you look beautiful and i can't even tell an ounce that anything is remotely off kilter health wise.

do hope you're all better now sweetness, nothing worse than having the oozy goozies. the polish is fab with everything too. happy, well-filled week! xo ♥
