I’m done!!! Well, done for a week. But still, as I sit here in our suffocatingly hot computer room wrapping up my last assignment, I could not be happier about what little time I do get off. Despite the past two weeks being really, really challenging, I did manage to keep up my goal of taking a photo a day! Here’s a few of my little happy slivers of time from the past week or two:
The most incredible Nutella mocha from Dose Espresso Bar (thanks for the ID Cassandra!). Paired with a pain au chocolat, it was the perfect thing to treat myself to after a mock editorial meeting with Vancouver Magazine’s amazing team of editors.
My more discrete take on an arm party. I opted for silver instead of the usual gold, stacking a Birks bangle and pearl bracelet on top my much-loved Bonnie wrap bracelet from Club Monaco.
At Vancouver City Hall for a council meeting with the class – coffee was a necessity.
You all know after my last post that I’m not exactly crazy about Valentine’s Day, but lately all this heart action had been making me just the tiniest bit excited. Oh, and in case you’re interested after reading about my gift-giving dilemma, I’ve decided I’m just going to make Matt his favourite vegan chocolate cake (don’t judge, vegan cakes are actually more moist). If he doesn’t get food poisoning, I think he’ll be very happy.
Have fun at the cabin this weekend, pally! Sad you won't be able to make it Sunday – Ian was counting on you to eat at least two of his latest baked creation 😉 Hope you enjoy your week off. Tragically I will be working like I always do, but if you feel like trecking all the way to Broadway and Renfrew, I'm always free for lunch 🙂

ahh..the relief you must feel! I am going through the exactly same thing(I call them hell weeks)! Last week and this upcoming week live up to the name I've given them. If I do manage to make it through I have one week off after for which I am so so so excited :D:D

I've said it once and I'll say it again, I have got to get an iphone! Such beautiful pictures. My blackberry can't do that, amongst many other things. I haven't always been a big fan of Valentine's day either although it's growing on me. Of course I trust you won't tell anyone that ha! Have a great time at your cabin. Oh, and I LOVE vegan baking.
