You’ve Got the Love

Club Monaco blazer, gloves & scarf, BCBG clutch,
Michael Kors heels, Jay & Elle jumpsuit

I know you guys are probably sick of my weird obsession with palazzo pants, but honestly, the very fact that I found a silhouette for my bottom half that actually works for me is a small miracle and I fully plan on taking advantage of it.

You’d think having an hourglass-shaped body would be great, but really…it’s not. I’ve learned to accept and love my body as it is, but that doesn’t meant it’s still not extraordinarily frustrating to find clothes that actually fit my body properly. I’ve slowly but surely developed an arsenal of silhouettes in my closet that work for my shape but up until this fall, I still felt like I was limited to skirts and dresses. As you may have noticed, over the past few months I’ve really started really immersing myself in the world of high-waisted pants, and let me tell you, it’s a great place to be.

Hope you’ve all been having a great week so far, happy hump day!

The pants look great on you. I love high-waisted pants but hesitant to try. But if I had your slim body figure, I wouldn't mind trying.

The colour of your scarf is so pretty on you and I'm incredibly late to say this, but I'm totally digging your bangs! Gorgeous as always. XO

Palazzo pants really were meant for you – I've never seen anyone else pull them off like you do, pally. [You may recall how incredibly silly they look like on me ;)] I love the mint and cream shades paired with black; it's fresh and spring-like, but still perfect for winter. And those leather-wool gloves are the perfect finishing touch! Hope to see you soon, pally? Coffee the weekend of the 21st, perhaps?

Alexandra, you look wonderful in these pants! I also find myself sticking to what suits my body shape when selecting garments. Like you, I am a pear shape and prefer to wear A-line skirts & dresses as I find them to be the most flattering. I am still looking for the perfect pants for me, besides jeans! Hope you're well. x

Omg I totally agree about having an hourglass shape! I find clothes just aren't made for us, especially pants. I usually have to size up to fit my booty but then they gape at the top *sigh* so I stick to dresses and high waisted skirts…which are so much comfier! Although, those palazzo pants look really comfy, looks like I need to find myself a pair =]

I to have an obsession with Palazzo Pants, because they are so very figure flattering; giving the illusion of a smaller waistline, whilst elongating my legs, made even longer by my wearing high sided platform shoes. Just love your look, more photo's like this please, remember the wider the Palazzo leg the better! Love Flara xxx
