Hibernating

January 20, 2012

Since the snow seems to be here to stay, I have decided to just accept it and get into full hibernation mode. It’s really not that tough of a job when you get to just curl up next to the fire, admiring some pretty new things, drinking tea and packing for a weekend away to a beautiful cabin!

From top to bottom: a new scarf in a bright colour to cheer up the gloom outside, pretty sparklers from Anjolee, my favourite new pants from the lovely people at Raven Denim, and one of the best lattes in the city at Crema. Excited to feature a couple of these items in some upcoming posts!

Well, I’m off! So looking forward to playing and relaxing in a winter wonderland, will recap when I’m back! Have an amazing weekend lovelies!

Oooh that latte looks delish! I've never heard of Crema but I see it's out in West Van… will have to make the trek there one day. Have a great weekend at the cabin, Alex!

Your new scarf is an amazing colour! Bright colours are the best way to cheer up a gloomy day. And that coffee looks so tasty, have a great weekend 🙂

I am so jealous of your hibernation mode right now. I could definitely use some of that. Even if I did, though, I would still be busy with stupid grad school work. Remind me why I decided to do this again? 🙂

Love your earrings. So pretty. Need your ever-yummy-looking latte to give me a boost at this hour of the day. I almost want to just eat supper at 4pm and then curl into bed. So cold here (-15C without the windchill)!!

Dita???? Yeah right! You're too kind. I get Katy Perry a lot. One time some girl at Chili's asked if I actually was Katy Perry. How do they make those latte designs??? They're so cool and that latte looks really good. Have a wonderful winter weekend getaway 🙂

too true Alex, acceptance is the way to go as far as the snow and potential freezing rain forecast is concerned. what a bloomin' erratic week of weather we've had but i hope you are staying extra cozy, tucked into your nook at the cabin. have a terrific weekend, can't wait to see the recap!! xoox ♥

I'm definitely in hibernation mode too, pally – I've been thinking today about blog posts that have to do with how the weather, and not fashion, has been dictating my outfit choices 😛 That, or moving to exclusively indoor photography 🙂 Can't wait to see some of these gems when the weather improves. In the meantime, hope you have a fab time on your trip this weekend!

That latte is so adorable and this is basically how I handle snow too.

  • Reply Ellie January 23, 2012 at 3:25 pm

As soon as the snow started I was pretty much anchored too my cozy couch. There was lots of hot coffee, movies, and magazines. Can't complain! Hope you have a great time at the cabin!
