Looks like the grudge I’ve held against pants is finally coming to an end. In fact, I’m slowly but surely starting to love them. Really, it’s a beautiful story of rectified false impressions and newfound friendship. First, I surprised myself by falling for those amazing vintage Shoppalu pants, and now I’ve fallen hard for these 70’s-inspired flares from (shocker) Old Navy! Look at that. Old dawgs can learn new tricks.
The combination of these jeans with a blouse or cropped sweater has become my go-to look as of late. It may seem like common sense for an hourglass figure like my own, but for so long I was too scared to try high-waisted trousers. I think I’d just been traumatized too many times by ill-fitting pants to let myself consider the possibility of any pants-style looking good on me. Glad I finally put two and two together and found some silhouettes to love!
So on a different note…remember when I said I’d found balance in my life in my last post? Yeah, scratch that. This week has been ridiculous. I’m just keeping my head down and getting through as much work as possible before the weekend rolls around because I have to go out and have fun Friday. Have to. For the sake of my sanity. And I can’t have something like schoolwork bring me down while I’m trying to recreate the amazingness of my last epic night out…minus having a DJ table fall on me that is.
The good news? It’s mid-week already – only two more days till Friday! Hope you’re all having a far better week, happy hump day!
Those jeans are super amazing! Love the retro look and you pull it off so perfectly! 🙂 I love your top, bag, bracelet and belt as well! Everything about your outfit is just perfect! 🙂

Such a pretty, pretty blouse! And those flares are perfect! I've been really impressed with Old Navy lately. Oh, and I have the same H & M ring, we have good taste ; )
Hang in there, the weekend is almost here!
Ugh this week is kicking my butt too. One day at a time! We'll get to the weekend eventually.
Great outfit, the jeans looks amazing on you! I was staring at pair of 70s flared jeans on ASOS yesterday, but didn't end up getting them. Now that I see your outfit I kind of regret it a bit, maybe I should have just given it a try! 🙂
Somehow it seems that this week kinda sucks for everyone – but indeed, only 2 more days to go. Hang in there!

PS. Thanks for your comment on my blog. I have NEVER heard that I look like someone, but I was secretly always hoping there was a 'doppelganger' out there 😉 Let me know once you remember the name of the actress – I am so curious!
you are sooo bold taking your shots at that spot on Granville Island – i'm always there with my kids and I'd be so scared to have my shots taken there with all the people watching me – but then again, you do look stinkingly gorgeous so there you go!

This week has been going by incredibly slow IMO… I thought yesterday was Wednesday and was sorely disappointed when I realized it wasn't. Hopefully we make it through this week okay! You look great in those jeans… I still feel like I can't go back to that trend… reminds me too much of my bell-bottom obsession in middle school.

These jeans look amazing on you, love the flares!! I don't think I could pull them off nearly as well as you do. They look great with the sheer blouse and yellow belt, very chic.
I am soo looking forward to the weekend to, my crazyness is done so I just want to have fun!

This week has been crap for me too and it's only Wednesday! Let's do a weekend countdown shall we? I love the look of these flares on you as well! The shape suits you.
Love those flares. I just found the perfect pair.. going to post about them soon. I had tried on dowzens of pair of High risers… found none that I liked, untill my recent High waited flare purchase! You look great in yours! Good luck with the rest of your week…I know what you mean about "having to" go out on friday!

Those jeans could not possibly fit you more perfectly, my love. I've never been able to pull off the wide flare style, mainly because the flares always swallow up my feet, but they look amazing on you! You look so fabulously 70s in these photos, I love it. Small secret: Old Navy jeans have been one of my go-tos for a long time. They're phenomenal, especially considering the price 🙂 Can't wait to see you on Saturday, darling!

Those jeans look awesome on you! Totally hear you on the hectic life, but Friday comes soon, let loose and have fun!!
Love your blog 🙂

awe love, what's going on? is it school overloads??? i gotta read your other post and catch up. i know you've had some awful things (accidents) go on over the last while and are you ever in my thoughts for the no more drama tip. only 1 more sleep left and then you're free, wishing you a really relaxing and fun balanced kinda weekend. xoox ♥
You look so great! Love the 70s look!
