As Far As I Can See

So…this past week has been interesting.

Let’s just say that between having a DJ table fall on me Saturday night (it’s a long story – let’s just say my body’s a bit busted up right now!), a final and full realization that school is going to be way more intense than I had previously anticipated, and forcing my die-hard night owl self to wake up at 6 am every single morning, I haven’t had much time to blog and/or catch up on my favourite sites.  So to both my readers and my blogger friends who I’ve been neglecting, I’m sorry!  Matt and I managed to swing by the Ambleside Beach dock on my way back from school, finally managing to squeeze in a little outfit shoot.

Club Monaco Cato silk dress, belt from Mexico, H&M
canvas and leather bag, necklace, ring, and booties, Urban Outfitter sunnies

Now don’t get me wrong, it hasn’t been all bad.  Though my stress levels have been mounting and I’ve basically been immobile for the past couple days, I am absolutely loving all the course material that I’m studying right now.  I always loved studying Psych and that’s the reason that I did my BA in it, but journalism is what I want to do.  It’s a field that I’ve been passionate about all my life and it’s been a really exhilirating experience to be so immersed in it now.  We’ve also been having amazing weather up until today, which is why I was able to prance around in my little silk dress at the docks yesterday and feel tooooasty warm.

I’m just really trying to get into a routine so that I can blog, exercise, spend time with friends, and get all my schoolwork done without feeling like I’m about to have a meltdown.  I’ll get it right within a few weeks, and in the meantime you’ll just have to deal with my freak-outs!  I’m an Aries, it’s in our nature to be dramatic!

Hope all you lovelies are having a great week so far 🙂

Pretty dress, I like how you styled it! Hope you will get back in a good routine soon. I am 'fighting' the same thing – just started working full time, so my schedule is also different than it used to be. But I am sure we'll both figure it out 😉

You really are the queen of H&M- mainly because you actually manage to find all of the wonderful things! I saw that necklace in a magazine, but I can't imagine actually finding it in the store. I love those booties, too; another of my blog friends has them and they look just adorable on both of you. Of course, you know I love that silk dress, too. So you pretty much look perfect 😉 It sounds like your life has been a bit of an adventure lately (I hope you're going to fill us in on what happened with that DJ table this weekend.) I'm sure things will get better when you get into a routine, though. Can't wait to see you this Sunday.

I really like that H&M necklace.

The work/life/blog/fitness challenge is something I still grapple with. No need to feel like you have to figure it all out in a few weeks!

A DJ table fell on you?! I hope you're feeling better now- that seriously sucks. Loving how you still manage to look pulled together and accessorized in spite of your insane schedule: navy and tan leather is one of the looks I'm most excited to try this fall.

Have a great weekend and can't wait to see you on Sunday!

what's this about a dj table?! are you kidding??? omg Alex, you needed that like a hole in the head. so sorry for this mishap. you'll have to fill us in tomorrow, which, by the way i'm almost sure is a positive go! yah : ) i'll be bringing a little somethin' along extra for you of course too.

LOVE Ambleside and good on ya for planning this sneaky shoot after school was over. you sure caught the greatest light of the day! ohhhhh, those booties are hot slick lades. gorgeous color with the navy dress. such a smashing bunch of images beautiful girl and don't sweat the course load too much. it's only the beginning and that is always the most overwhelming part. dramatic Aries and intensely apocalyptic Scorpio need to have a chat ; ) happy Saturday! ♥
