You may have heard of Paul Melo of StyleQuotient on my blog before – given that his street style photography site is considered the pinnacle of Vancouver fashion (not to mention Canadian fashion), he was the first person who came to mind when I was creating my Hometown Glory posts a couple of months ago. Considering how much I obviously admire him and his work, imagine how overwhelmed and honoured I felt to have been shot by him for StyleQuotient!
Now imagine how extremely overwhelmed and happy I became when he then told me that I’d be allowed to tweak my outfit with a few purchases courtesy of Vancouver’s Runway! Vancouver’s Runway represents Robson Street, Vancouver’s most famous shopping street located right in the center of the downtown core. You can find everything that you could ever need within its three block stretch of shops, fine dining, and more. Paul is currently capturing the most stylish looks off of Robson Street for a campaign Vancouver’s Runway is running.
Since I felt like the dress was really the most important element of the whole look, we both agreed that simply accenting it in different ways would be the best way of restyling it. Swapping out the brown leather strappy heels that I had on for grey Michael Kors pumps from B2 was our first order of business. Since we’d injected the outfit with cool-toned grey, we ditched my thick brown leather belt for a beautiful printed Club Monaco silk scarf and added a stunning turquoise-detailed necklace from Blue Ruby (which I’ve actually been wearing pretty obsessively since!). The new look complete, we took to Robson again for a few more pictures.
As if Paul and Vancouver’s Runway hadn’t done enough for me already in the space of an hour, my look has now been entered into a contest to win a grand prize of $1,000 in prizes, again courtesy of Vancouver’s Runway. You can check out all the beautiful looks in the running here.
Needless to say, the minute we’d wrapped up that incredible hour and a half of shooting and shopping, I was left with a strong “Did that just actually happen?” feeling. I can not thank Paul enough for the amazing experience! Check out the full Summer Femme editorial on StyleQuotient here!
