If you can believe it, this is already our third blogger meetup! Aside from the fact that we didn’t have the lovely Lynn of hearted girl this time around (you were missed, Lynn!), these things just keep getting better and better. We had our normal crew in attendance as well as Cara of A Fashion Love Affair, Mina of Faboulista, and Louise of Fifth Sparrow. I’ve said it before and I’m going to have to say it again, but I can’t get over how much fun I have with this group of girls. It feels like I’ve known all of them for ages. We already have exciting plans for our next meetup (kudos to Alicia for coming up with the idea for it!) and I’m already on the edge of my seat in anticipation. Here’s a hint as to where we’ll be headed: think hats.
We had a picnic at Stanley Park…sooooo much amazing food. We managed to make a bit of a dent in it, but come on…we’re a bunch of girls intent on talking. I think our liquid lunches usually vanish a bit more quickly. That and it was also freezing because we decided (on my suggestion) to sit in the windiest part of the park, so we could hardly unpin our arms from our sides. My bad!
The beautiful Alicia of aliciafashionista with her handsome and very kind boyfriend Adam. It seems that each time we have one of these meetups, one of the boyfriends/husbands is inevitably delegated the task of taking all of our pictures. What fun for them (not)! Thanks for stepping up to the plate this round Adam!
Yesterday was the first time I met the stunning Cara of A Fashion Love Affair and it was such a treat! Intelligent, funny, and she makes one hell of a guacamole.
Unfortunately my pictures of Cee from Coco and Vera are blurry for some bizarre reason so her beauty and fabulous outfit are not really done justice! Either way, it was amazing as ever to see Cee…I always love her wry humour and, being the lovely person that she is, she’s so easy to talk to.
This was the first time I got to meet Louise from Fifth Sparrow as well, and having been a reader of hers for such a long time, it was amazing to finally meet her in person. She’s so funny and personable in person, and she let me steal one of her cupcakes to take home with me! Extra amazingness points for Louise (and piggy points for me).
I had such a great time with Mina of Faboulista at the Obakki show (which was the first time I met her) that I could hardly wait to see her again. She is honestly as adorable as you can get and has the most beautiful, eclectic style.
The beautiful and talented Veronika of Girl and Closet looking lovely as ever! I’m so happy to have gotten to know Veronika over our past three meetups – everytime I find out another cool fact about her that makes me admire her even more. Just some weirdo who turned up out of the blue and decided to tag along with everyone…awkwaaaaard.
I hope you all had the loveliest of weekends! Over the past week, I’ve been working out pretty intensely and really upped the ante over the weekend. I’m currently aching all over and can’t raise my arms past shoulder-level. This is a good lesson for all you other fitness fanatics out there: do not go on vacation and trick yourself into thinking you can have a guilt-free break from working out. You’ll only find that once you’re back, you’ll go crazaaaay the way I did to overcompensate!
So much fun!! I love this post, and especially all the beauties in it! It was so nice to actually meet you for real Alex, you're such a sweetie, and I cannot wait for the next meet up! Now, to find a killer hat….

Your pictures turned out so much better than mine- kind of jealous, not going to lie, but I guess it's my own fault since I'm the one who couldn't seem to keep my eyes open when my camera was being used 🙂 Yesterday was such fun- I can't believe how little we all ate we were so busy talking, but I guess that is just an indicator of what a good time we were all having! (Speaking of awkward, since you mentionned it in your post, I totally have a necklace tan line today :P) So looking forward to the next get-together, particularly the hats. I'm always looking to add to my collection 😀

alex… it was so fun hanging out with u yesterday again. like last time u r hilarious. u make the best jokes. thx so much for inviting me to this lovely get together so i can meet all the other girls too. i'm sad that i wont be able to join u on the next few ones but hopefully u guys will accept me back in august!

Lovely post Alex, that was so much fun! I can't believe how quickly the time flew by because we were all chatting so much! But it is true, although I met all of you for the first time Sunday, it feels like we have all known each other forever…it was so nice to meet such an amazing group of ladies. Can't wait for the next one!
