My boyfriend and I just had such a great weekend in Whistler! It was freezing, but I somehow or another managed to survive the cold and actually had a wonderful time. All the Christmas decorations were out, the sun was shining…it was looooovely.
Word to the wise: invest in some earmuffs for the winter. They literally saved my life on this trip, plus they remind me of how I used to dress when I was five years old. Which, in case you were wondering, is a very good thing to me.
To cap everything off, we were treated to a beautiful sunrise on the way home. I always feel lucky to live where I do, but this weekend I felt especially grateful that I not only live in a very special city, but am also an hour and a half drive away from an equally beautiful winter wonderland. If I can keep up these little winter excursions, I may even grow to love this season.

Whistler is so gorgeous! This sounds like the perfect little getaway. Where I live we escape away from our winter wonderland ha! Although it takes a lot more than an hour to get away from it. I do love the snow though. There's something so magical about it, especially when gearing up for Christmas. I'm glad you got to escape for the weekend. The cold can be highly refreshing!

Alexandra, those photos are amazing! Seriously encapsulates how gorgeous Whistler is… i was there 6 years ago but during the summer and i was that annoying person that everyone wanted to hit cause every morning i'd wake up and say "omg but did you SEE the view?!?" lol
