Because of my shorter frame, I’ve generally always stuck to dresses or skirts that hit well above the knee. However, this past summer I have developed this really strong fixation on maxi dresses – I’m finding that they’re the perfect thing to throw on when you’re wanting to wear something really comfortable but still chic. Plus, I love that swishy feeling you get around your ankles while walking in one! I’d pretty much wear them for that aspect alone.
Though I usually gravitate towards pattern and colour, the clean lines and classic elements of this black maxi dress really appealed to me. Plus, this one was like $15, so I kind of had to grab it.

I wore a long skirt for the first time this summer yesterday and it was sooo comfy!!
I'm pretty short too so I was afraid it would make me look shorter but it worked out okay :]
