Makeup Tutorial: Soft Smokey Eye
So bypassing the browbone shade, I used the second lightest shade for an allover wash of colour on my eyelid, the third darkest shade for my crease and the outer corner of my eye and the darkest shade as an eyeliner! If you wanted to increase the intensity of the liner or any of the other shades, you could slightly dampen the pigment or brush.
I’d say I’m still a little more partial to a strong red lip…old habits die hard, I guess! Having said that, it’s always nice and healthy to try something else out, and this soft, defined eye is a great new go-to. I think especially when I finally get some colour on my face, I’ll feel much more comfortable with paler, more tonal makeup tones!
Okay, now I just have one more class and then I am in full-on party mode for the rest of the weekend! Again, if you’re in Vancouver, make sure you come to our blogger clothing sale tomorrow at The Waldorf, it should be amazing!
Have a great weekend lovelies!
great tutorial!

Ooh, i'm so impressed with this and how clean and easy you show in the step by step. I use cargo foundation every day but I've never tried their shadows. I'll definitley have to start because the neutral brown tones are my favorite for every day makeup. You look beautiful and very natural.

Lovely! I was at Mac the other day talking to 'my girl' and she recommended subtle smokey eyes as well. It looks so much more fresh than my usual dark brown liner. New looks for new season!

You may not think you know much about make-up, pally, but your face always looks flawless to me. Personally, I stick with my signature (read: same every day) make-up and mix it up with lip colour. Kinda cheating, I know, but it's just too easy not to. Loved spending a very crazy afternoon being sort-of table buddies with you. Must get together for a proper hang out very soon.
