Swimsuit c/o Everyday Sunday (similar)
I’ve been a diehard bikini devotee for years – other than my racing Speedos for swimming laps, I actually never really feel all that comfortable in one-pieces (lack of support up top, too much fabric bunching, etc). Thankfully, I’ve become a total convert. Enter my new Everyday Sunday suit – this convertible piece honestly fits like a glove and I’ve found myself wearing it on repeat these days. Best part about it though is how easily it transitions from beach to street – click through to see the full outfit!
On its own, the piece can already be converted into strapless, halter, one strap, etc, etc. Thanks to its sleek silhouette though, it’s the perfect layering piece for any sheer lace numbers (see below!).
Whether it’s a dress or top, the suit is a perfect base for lace layers. I’m always a fan of texture on texture, so adding these Gentle Fawn shorts that I can not stop wearing with this lace top by LOFT (on sale now!) give a femme vibe to the whole look. This French Connection bag is the perfect beach piece, though it’s equally perfect for drinks or dinner après-beach. Pulled together but still completely comfortable, no one would ever really know you were at the beach in this look, especially if you tote along a pair of heels for afterwards.
In other news, happy birthday to my boyfriend Matt! I’m a major cougar (3 months older than him, total cradle-robbing), so I really have to give it up to him for keeping me feeling so young. Happy 27th to the best boyfriend ever, even though you’ve decided to celebrate it in Wisconsin (?) rather than here with me. Jerk! I love you!
