Six Star Style in London
To describe traipsing around London in Ted Baker as a dream would be the understatement of the century. Ever since the brand first came to Vancouver, I very quickly and completely fell for their brand of Brit cool-meets-femme, so it seemed only fitting to wear their stunning new SS16 collection in London itself when Alicia and I were there. We started the day at the Commercial St. location just down the road from Spitalfields—from the new activewear to both the stunning Ted Beauty Spot and Grooming Room, you could literally get lost in this beautiful location for hours. Browsing through the store with a complimentary glass of prosecco in our dresses from the latest SS16 line, we were already blown away for the day. But then, we were swept off to the Cheapside location and experienced what was likely the best manicure of my life in that location’s Ted’s Beauty Spot (offering all nail services, brow maintenance and lash extension in-house). The mani is still going strong as I type this post out! Was such a nice way to decompress from a busy day of browsing by getting an incredible mani and moment of pampering right in-store, complete with a cuppa (of course).
We took a tour of the beautiful location then meandered over to St. Paul’s just down the street. You can’t walk by St. Paul’s without shooting there—it’s just so beautiful, and I love the curved streets in the City of London. My dramatic yet timeless Lyxa black dress was perfectly at home with all this history in the background, and my femme Maisie bag and Neevo heels brightened up the stark elegance of the dress and my surroundings perfectly. Also obsessively wore the Lacyy mauve faux fur handbag attachment all trip on my various handbags – such a cute way of brightening up a look!
We took a sunset walk across the Millennium Bridge and found ourselves at Borough Market for a last minute flower run, our Ted bags in tow. My favourite cathedral in the whole city is there (Southwark Cathedral, something about the view of it from the market gets me every time!).

And finally, while this was my first time at Sketch in my many visits to London, I’ve officially decided that it is a must for any visit (and if you haven’t been to London yet, definitely work it into your first trip there as it was such an amazing experience). My black dress made another appearance and Alicia’s stunning blush rose lace number (you need to check it out on her today over on Alicia Fashionista) couldn’t have suited the floor-to-ceiling pink surroundings of Sketch more perfectly.
While being in London with Ted was an experience I’ll never be able to match, I’m so happy they’ve made the trip over the pond and not only have a location here in Vancouver at Pacific Centre, but are steadily opening new locations in the Pacific Northwest too (like the Bellevue Square location in Seattle, which just opened last Friday!).
Whether you’re making a trip to London or are getting your fill of Ted’s signature style in one of the brand’s locations outside of the UK, share your style online with the hashtags #SixStarStyle & #TedBakerSS16!
A big thank you to Ted Baker for partnering with me for this post.
