Finishing Touches
As far as fall style musts go, I tend to opt for the classic and simple. Chelsea boots? Check! Black distressed skinnies? Check! The elements of great fall style tend to be true staples in every sense of the word, and that’s why when it comes to adding that extra edge to my look, I rely on jewelry to elevate my otherwise simple #ootd. Of course, I don’t have to look too far for stunning baubles to add some sparkle to my look – I’ve worked with Vancouver-based jewelry designer Brooklyn Designs for years, and you’ve likely seen a piece of hers in just about every one of my looks. Click through to read more about her line and how I use her pieces to kick my fall fashion up a notch!

More and more I’m drawn to neutrals in silhouettes I feel completely comfortable in (trust me, you’ll be seeing a lot more iterations of this fall uniform!), so for a pop of colour, I love layering on Brooklyn Designs’ rings in amethyst, labradorite and ammonite. I love going for a full arm party too, adding in this stunning Margo bracelet in mother of pearl and crystal quartz beads to stacks of gold, my favourite chunky watch, etc. And of course, necklaces – other than rings, my favourite piece of jewelry and I find, the easiest way to complete an outfit. I love the look of layered necklaces, and have been wearing this hammered chevron pendant 24/7 these days. It’s such a perfect piece to offset a longer necklace and offers just that right amount of shine. What I love most about Brooklyn Designs‘ pieces is that they don’t overwhelm a look – you can layer and layer without losing the essence of your look, which in this case, is minimalist cool.
This weekend was an absolute doozy but so amazing as well, and I relied heavily on these simple style classics to get me through the whole thing. This coming week is really going to test me too but since we’re leaving a week today (!!!) for Greece, I’m more than happy to take this all head on! Hope you’re having a lovely Monday and off to a great week yourselves!
Thank you to Brooklyn Designs for partnering with me for this post.
You look absolutely chic in this casual outfit! LOVE your coat and jeans. 🙂

The primary difference between you and your enterprise is that there is simply no difference. You are your business, and your business enterprise happens to be you. You need to be quite clear on who you are and what your values are.

Great look! I'm working on breaking in my chelsea boots right now, and love getting inspiration for how to wear them.

Very interesting blog. Alot of blogs I see these days don't really provide anything that I'm interested in, but I'm most definately interested in this one. Just thought that I would post and let you know.
