We woke up bright and early the next day for a bite at the unreal Purebread (as a carb freak, this place was honestly heaven) before heading to Scandinave Spa to enjoy their unreal baths. Can’t stress enough that this is a must if you’re on a girl trip (Mother’s Day, anyone?) or a romantic getaway. It was honestly such an amazing way to kick off my weekend and I can’t wait to escape to Whistler again.

I’m always so busy daydreaming about my next “big” travel adventure somewhere far away that I forget we have so much natural beauty right around us here in British Columbia. The lovely people at Araxi, Veuve Clicquot, Summit Lodge and Scandinave Spa (not to mention Tourism Whistler!) recently made a little whirlwind getaway from Vancouver to beautiful Whistler possible this past weekend, and it was such a perfect reminder of how much there is to enjoy right in our own backyard (-ish…it is a 2 hour drive away when you’re a slow poke driving like me but still, so close!). Kiara of Tobruck Ave was my partner in crime for the trip – after racing out of the city, we flew by Lost Lake (so beautiful, you need to go when you’re in Whis!) and then headed to an incredible dinner at Araxi created by chef James Walt, all enjoyed with Veuve Clicquot‘s incredible bubbly and wine (paired to perfection by Samantha Rahn, who was named Sommelier of the Year at the Vancouver International Wine Festival!). It was such an incredible meal with the most lovely company. Tired after all our bubbly, an amazing meal and the drive up, we headed to bed at our amazing suite in the Summit Lodge, where the team was so accommodating and made our stay so sweet!
