One Day in Seattle, USA With Mogo
Walter Baker jacket, boots c/o Poppy Barley, jeans c/o James Jeans,
Happy Monday! I am in major crunch mode today trying to get back on top of everything after a weekend away with my best friends to Seattle – we were literally only gone for 24 hours but we packed so much into such a short period of time that by the time we got back yesterday evening, we all felt pretty drained! Part of the reason we were able to pull together such a tight and solid itinerary though is because of all of the amazing reader tips I got, so thank you to everyone who gave me some insider recommendations! The other travel advantage I had was my Mogo Prepaid Visa® Card for the trip which helped me budget for the adventure so easily (and helped save me from impulse shopping at Nordstrom’s post-happy hour since I had already capped my budget!). Click through to see my top picks for one day in Seattle!
For happy hour, Japonessa was overwhelmingly recommended to me so after we stopped by Pike Place Market, we headed there for these fantastic tequila concoctions that I forget the name of and some sushi – so good! Definitely would recommend it. We then went to the shopping district to browse through Nordstrom’s and Sephora and once we’d worked up an appetite from that, we headed to Serious Pie for pizza and some local Washington beer. Honestly amazing, and thank you again to everyone for recommending it as well!
My Aritzia blanket scarf (monogrammed with my initials, so sweet!) and these customized Poppy Barley boots were the perfect accessories to keep warm with – Seattle’s a lot like Vancouver climate-wise, but if you’re there for a day, it’s well worth just packing the same jeans and jacket and making sure you stay warm with some solid footwear (more on these Poppy Barley boots in a later post!) and cold-weather accessories.
After having used my Mogo Prepaid Visa® Card for this trip, I’m definitely going to be using it for all of my trips coming up (including Maui, leaving this Sunday!!!). I love that you can load up exactly the amount you need and budget accordingly that way – as I quickly learned during my Europe trip, it’s so easy to just start throwing down your credit card when you’re in a pinch or impulse shopping. Taking the time to just be a bit more thoughtful and conscious about your spending habits (while still having all the perks of a credit card, which is a must while travelling) means you can avoid some serious debt and maintain control of your finances. Join the #UnCreditCardYourLife movement and check out Mogo Prepaid Visa® Card!
Hope you’re all off to a great start this week and stay tuned for some exciting developments over the course of the week!
A big thank you to Mogo for sponsoring this post.
I LOVE Seattle! I had such a great time going last summer! Your hair looks fantastic btw! 🙂
I've never been to Seattle, but I definitely want to take a trip there some day! It seems like such a unique city, with so much character.
It's so much fun to pack a ton of great adventures into a short trip. It sounds like you made the most of it.
Loving your photos too!
Jackie

You always take the most beautiful pictures of your travels. I'm curious about what camera and lenses you use. I'm planning a trip and am unsure what to take with me. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Thanks for representing Seattle so well! It's a great city and I love living here. Everyone should come and visit, we'll make you feel right at home!
