Bloggers Do it Better With American Eagle
French Connection hat, Club Monaco sweater, Joe Fresh tank top,
ring c/o KV Bijou, skinnies c/o American Eagle, J.Crew heels, Club Monaco scarf,
3.1 Phillip Lim x Target bag (c/o), W118 by Walter Baker jacket
Alongside my good friends Alicia and Cee, American Eagle challenged us to style these rose, coated skinnies. Initially, I was nervous. I mean yes, I love femme elements, but I definitely am much more of a tomboy than I am dainty, i.e. the type of person who would ordinarily rock a pair of blush skinnies.

Fortunately, the pants really took me by surprise. When paired with my new leather jacket and hat (which are incidentally both my favourite new things in my closet and edgy enough to temper the femininity of the skinnies), the pants have a whole other vibe to them. A men’s sweater and scarf from Club Monaco, sleek black accessories, no-fuss, tucked-away hair and bare makeup add even more pared-down edginess to the whole look, keeping the femme elements limited to the skinnies.
Stop by my lovely pals Alicia and Cee to see how they styled these skinnies as well, and be sure to check out American Eagle’s blog to see more snaps!
Love how you styled the blush skinnies! So unique!

I think I may have to get a pair of those skinnies! I never thought I would love rose colored pants but these are awesome xo
I've always adored this blush colour, but I never wear it because I feel that it washes me out. Well, you've just provided the perfect solution…in the form of a pair of jeans!! I could do exactly what you've done here, and pair the jeans with a tee or sweater in one of my go-to colours…and a great scarf or hat like yours wouldn't hurt either!! 😉
loving the color of those jeans … they fit you very nicely. great look!
I think you wore those pants very well! Blush seems like a hard color to wear, but going classic with black and white was a great idea!

looking very chic as always!
You look great in blush! I love it with the leather jacket! Where is that beauty from? 🙂
I was wondering the same thing – it looks suspiciously similar to one I've been eyeing from Zara!
Oh I entirely forgot to credit! It's from W118 by Walter Baker!
I'm absolutely in love with this look! You totally balance the blush color with more edgy elements like the leather jacket and charcoal hat. LOVE!
Bold Subtlety
I love how you styled them best I think!

I am in love with this whole outfit, Alex! The way you played down the femininity of the rose coated jeans with menswear and leather is perfect, and that hat is such a great finishing touch. Beauty!

I just love everything; I share your sentiments about never wanting to be overly girly so the pieces you picked kept the pants edgy. Plus I love a good hat!!

Don't hesite to read my last post!
Love that you chose to wear the black pumps with the blush jeans. Everyone seems to think they must wear beige or light colored shoes when they throw on light jeans…
