A Kind of Magic

June 29, 2011
You’ve all probably seen Emma Watson’s July Vogue cover already, but here’s the spread within the issue.  It’s all so visually striking and I am dying for that paillette-adorned Prada jacket in the second to last picture…that collection was literally the stuff my dreams are made of.  The final Harry Potter movie is coming out so soon (July 15th!!!!), so it seemed perfectly fitting for me to share this feature with you!

For those of you who don’t know, I’m a big Harry Potter freak.  Matt and I have been planning a trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter for ages!  What….I never said I was normal.  And on this HP note, Matt (among others) keeps saying that I’d be sorted into Slytherin if I were in Harry Potter, and it really bothers me.  Aside from the limitless bounds of my generosity and kindness and sweetness and modesty, I’m like Harry…I’d choose to not be in Slytherin!  So there, Matt.  Or should I say…Goyle.  Free will triumphs.

I’m walking around our rainy city today in boots and a raincoat.  Really loving this summer (not).  Hope you’re all enjoying a much drier and sunnier Wednesday!

Okay. So the true is, I might kind of sort of be anti-Harry Potter (and Twilight, and all other serialised fiction, for that matter. Yes, I'm a snob.) But I can't deny that Emma Watson has turned into quite the fashionista, even if her pixie cut isn't my favourite. The jewel encrusted dress in the fourth photo kind of makes me want to die. I would do things for a dress like that that my parents would not be proud of 🙂
    xox,

PS: I have, however, read some Harry Potter books and everyone also says I would sorted into Slytherin. Which is probably true. I look nice, but I definitely have an evil streak.

    I heart HArry Potter too1

I love how she's changed (emma) from being a young starlet to this wonderfully, talented young woman who is so beautiful behind the camera…she just makes the clothing stand out.

I love your nerdy Harry Potter obsession! And actually, I hadn't seen these photos yet so thanks for posting them 🙂
