Happy Friday and Happy April 1st aka April Fool’s Day! I’m so excited for this month – quite frankly, March wasn’t my easiest month and I’m really looking forward to a little restart (and the fact that this is my birthday month!). In fact, I wanted to explain a little bit about why I’ve been so quiet on the blog front these days and to share what’s coming up!

First and foremost, as I mentioned in this previous post, I’ve been holding off on posting for my website to relaunch but like so much that has to do with tech, there have been a couple of obstacles that have really delayed the process. So every week that I was holding on content with the expectation that it would go live that week, something’s come up tech-wise and I’ve just managed to squeeze in a post at the end of the week.
As someone whose passion really and truly is communicating and who counts herself as really so lucky to be able to do so on a near-daily basis with all of you (and by the way, I won’t even get started on how lucky I feel to have you as a reader – love you guys!), it’s been a really weird month. I feel stifled, as if I’m unwillingly having to put brakes on the thing I’m most passionate about. I’m so sorry that posting has been inconsistent – can’t stress enough that I’m sitting on dozens of amazing posts (from London travel diaries to a hair tutorial I’m so excited about and so much more!) and just waiting for the site to go live so that I don’t potentially lose all of that content in the transfer over (making doc files of all copy to transfer over but still, would rather have it all done in one fell swoop!). I’m really crossing my fingers everything is done for Monday and if you’ve been following along on Snapchat (tovogueorbust) where I’ve been sharing some sneak peeks, you’ll know it’s well worth it! It really is something I’m so excited for and I can’t wait for you all to see it and if you’re so inclined, give me feedback about the new experience!
But moving on – having this inconsistency has kind of had a domino effect to other areas of my life. My back flared up again a couple times this month (doing way better now and feeling way stronger these days, swimming has been key!), my laptop died, I had some feedback from readers (which I always appreciate so please always do reach out!) about inconsistency in my posting as a result of this relaunch hold which was so understandable but also a little bit tough to hear because I really can’t stress enough that doing right by you guys is really my top priority, and just all in all it was kind of a shit month for a few other personal reasons too. I kind of kept trying to put bandaids over whatever negative flare up there currently was but now that I’ve steadily been moving into a much better place (and this relaunch is just around the corner – crazy how much website or tech stuff affects you), I think it’s fair to just chalk it up as the first truly shitty-ish month I’ve had in a really, really long time.
But I’m a big believer that you get that shit so that flowers can grow through it (I know, eloquence is one of my top traits). Since Easter long weekend, I had a good turning point and I’ve felt not just better but really happy, more confident that things will get wrapped soon and just all in all stoked on this coming month and the rest of the year. If I hadn’t had the first truly kind of rough time I’ve had to experience in awhile, then I don’t think I would’ve worked so hard to make some positive changes across the board and get to a place that I really feel is even better than prior to March (when I felt generally quite happy and stoked about everything).
Anyway, this post doesn’t really have much of a purpose to it other than to let you know what’s good in the hood (oh, and there’s this outfit above – can not stop wearing this Aritzia skirt!), so sorry for going on and on but just really want to stress that I’m really dying to get back to regular posting and hope you understand the radio silence this past little while and leading up to next week when (fingers crossed) we’ll be all a-go. Thank you so much for your patience and support in the meantime – you guys are seriously the best.
So happy Friday and get outside!!! It’s so sunny so I’m taking my beloved Mojito (my bike, has a name obviously) out for a long spin with some of my besties later today. Hope you all have an amazing weekend!

You get that shit so that flowers can grow through it – that is perfect. I truly need to hear that this week! The changing of the seasons will always bring about intense anxiety but also an incredible glimmer of hope. All the best with the launch! http://www.allinmoderation.ca
