Scarf c/o Aritzia, J.Crew heels & dress (c/o),
You’ve gotta love a piece that does double duty. I’ve mentioned a few times now how much I love scarves for their versatility (see yesterday’s post for a pretzel knot how-to!) but out of all scarf styles, the square scarf is likely the hardest working one (maybe only second after the blanket style). Whether worn casually draped around the neck or folded length-wise into a loose knot, you can literally wear it a million different ways, though I have to say I’m particularly fond of this breezy kimono style, especially when it comes in a stunning print (with tassels!) like this Aritzia beauty. So pretty much, this takes all of one step. Simply take your scarf and knot the two corners next to each other on both sides, slipping your arms through the “sleeves” and you’re done! The ’70s vibes are still going strong all through spring and summer so this kimono style is a super easy way of adding some boho to your wardrobe. Also perfect for this period where we’re still transitioning weather-wise – it’s warming up a lot (the day I wore this it was so lovely and warm out) but if it gets chilly, you can just throw it around your neck and toss on a jacket!
