Well, I am officially one day away from leaving and am truly and utterly unbelievably excited! I’m needing to get through a million things today before I take off (unlock my phone, finish packing, run to the bank, etc, etc) but at the very least, I thankfully have my flying style down pat for my flight tomorrow – see more below!

There are two main objectives to travel style: 1) staying as comfortable as possible during your flight and while trekking through the airport (for me this usually means staying warm as I get chilly so easily), and 2) taking as much weight/clunkiness out of your suitcase as possible by wearing those pieces while flying.

Layering-wise, if I was flying out even a month later, I would layer a leather jacket over top of this (thankfully, I’m getting the boyfriend to bring it a third of the way through my trip when we meet up!) but since it’s still just sweater weather at the coldest anywhere I’m staying, I’ll be wearing this Left on Houston sweater knotted around my waist until I need to bundle up on the plane. Also, save your hats from getting seriously crumpled in your suitcase – pick a neutral-toned one if you’d like to bring along a hat and wear it on the plane! Finally, wear your chunky booties on the plane but pack along flip flops and some really cozy socks so that you can pad down the aisle to the washroom in comfort and keep your toesies warm while taking nap breaks.
In terms of the fabrics you opt for, I always go for a pair of skinnies like these favourites from James Jeans in a super comfy stretch blend. A linen T is breathable and chic, while I always ensure my sweaters are cozy, soft wool blends. Also, if there was ever a time to wear your less-than-pretty but super comfortable basic bras and panties, now would be the time! I’m big-chested so can’t get away with wearing anything too unsupportive but usually opt for a cupped bralette that still offers some support without feeling restrictive.
What are your tips for travelling in style? I’m all ears since it’s not too late for me to add on anything before taking off tomorrow! Also, don’t forget to follow along on Instagram with the hashtag #tvobineurope as I jet off – first stop, London!!

You look super chic! I was a little worried about the booties (airports can have sooooooo much walking, which I'm loathe to do in heels), but if you can pull out your flipflops just in case, then you're set. Have an awesome trip – I will definitely be reading along.

This is such a cute travel outfit, and looks so comfortable! I am a terrible planner when it comes to travel style, but generally I try packing items that won't wrinkle in the suitcase, and a color theme so that everything is mixable.
    have fun on your trip!
