I’m definitely what you’d call a sun worshipper…I spend my whole winters desperately wishing for spring to roll around and then spend my entire summers wishing fall would never come. I guess that’s why I was born in Canada, and raised in Vancouver no less, where the winter rain seems to never stop and the skies are almost perpetually grey…there would be no twisted or ironic humour in me being born somewhere warm and sunny.
Anyway, when the sun does come out, I am insistent to the point of annoyance in needing to get outside in order to soak up the sun all day long, and that’s what I did all day last time the sun peeked out from behind the clouds. What’s more, it was actually reasonably warm, meaning no tights!!! It always feels like a teeny tiny victory to do away with cold-weather accessories around this time of the year when it feels like we’re juuust on the cusp of spring.
So no tights, happy punches of spring-apropos colours and my beautiful new Tieks by Gavrieli flats…it was definitely a good day. Speaking of these beautiful ballet flats, my love affair with Tieks is continuing to grow…my stunning new Wild Copper pair have become fast favourites of mine and I’m not even ashamed to say I’ve worn them almost every day since receiving them last week. I’m not sure if you caught my last post about Tieks, but these favourites of Oprah fold up to the size of a men’s wallet – gotta love Italian leather footwear that can fit into a tiny compartment of your handbag!

I am utterly consumed with jealousy at that beautiful warm sunlight. Grey and overcast here in Ottawa – when we do get bright sunlight, it's usually because it's -30. :p I am also consumed with jealousy at your Tieks. They are completely adorable – with the price tag wasn't so steep, because they would be in my closet in a nanosecond.

I love the blue on you, absolutely gorgeous!! And this sweater layered over top is gorgeous. It's funny because I escape our prairie winters by going to Vancouver…even when it's grey and rainy it feels so much nicer then -20 and 3 feet of snow. This is actually making my itch to get out there, I want sun and bare legs!! I think i need to go check out seat sales now…

I'm glad you enjoyed the sun! Was this Sunday? My body decided to get the stomach flu Saturday night so I watched the sun through my window while I was on the couch haha. I was so envious of everyone outside!
