In my fifth contribution to FASHION Magazine‘s Style Panel, we were asked to pull together an outfit for a wedding that would manage to steer clear of all the wedding faux pas’s: being white, being skanky or just looking like a doily.
Though I’ve never actually been to a wedding (a fact that’s starting to irritate me more and more the older I get…can one of my friends or sisters just get married already?! I wanna go to a bachelorette party before I die), if I did ever get to go to one, this is probably what I’d wear. It’s pretty much impossible to look skanky in a high-collared, mid-calf-length dress no matter how hard you try (…I haven’t tried but I feel like this would be an interesting challenge), there are no doilies or in-your-face ruffles and the only touch of cream is in my vintage eelskin clutch. Nailed it!!! Now someone invite me to your wedding please and thanks.
My sickness is starting to wane eeeever so slightly. Right now it’s really just that final stage when you have the remnants of a cough and sniffles. I’m just hoping I can get all better by the weekend…it’s Pride Parade, so if I don’t pull myself together for that, I’m not even worthy of a rainbow flag.
Oh and PS I’ve gotten lots of lovely compliments about my be-curled hair over the last couple of posts (thank you!), just wanted to let you know I have a hair tutorial coming your way this Friday featuring the magic tool! My hair does not curl well normally and without sounding like a walking advertisement, this new tool has changed all that so I’m pretty excited to share it with all of you!

I never went to a wedding until my early 20s and it drove me crazy because I was obsessed with them as a kid, and my parents had to hide invitations to far-away weddings from me because we couldn't go I would beg and cry.
You know how much I love this dress, pally – pretty much every way you style it is perfection as far as I'm concerned but I especially love the addition of the mint belt and lace up booties. You definitely would have been the most stylish guest at myw edding. If only we had met just a little bit sooner (and you had wanted to travel to Winnipeg)! Hahaha I completely know what you mean! I haven't been to a wedding in years, and I want to so badly! The first of my best friends is getting married soon though, so I'm getting very excited for that.
