As you can see in these pics, I got very burnt on Saturdy after reading on the back porch for five hours. It didn’t seem like the sun was strong at all, but then lo and behold, five hours later I was confronted by a vision of red in the mirror.Thankfully, it’s now toned down to a tan – perfect given the fact that I am headed to Maui in THREE days!
I didn’t realize until after the fact but this outfit kind of reminds of something Diane Kruger wore a couple years ago to a Chanel event. I remember falling in love with it at the time (and still do love it) so it must have been the unconscious inspiration for this look!

The sun always gets me the same way! Hate it when that happens. In summer I always have to use a sunblock creme, or otherwise I'll be red as a lobster by the end of the day!
